Grand Valley Students for a Peaceful Africa needs your artwork that we can sell in an art sale to raise money for Schools For Schools and Invisible Children. These are charities that aim to help the lives of African children by rebuilding the continent from the bottom up- starting with schools.
We were so pleased with last semester's sale; we raised over $240 and that number keeps creeping up thanks to rollovers from the last sale!
GVPA is putting on the art sale through January 28, 29, and 30. WE NEED YOUR ART! We are looking for great artists willing to donate some of their art and talents to someone who would otherwise not have the slightest hope of a satisfactory education. 70% of the money we make on the sale will go directly to the Layibi Secondary School in Uganda. The rest goes to funding our group.
We are accepting all art: visual arts like paintings, drawing and sketches, sculpture, pottery, photography, and graphic art. The work that you donate does not need to be "A-material." Mess-ups are acceptable as long as they have some artistic value.
I will accept your work after you give me permission to print it out at the copy center on print paper.
This is an awesome opportunity to get your work noticed by others and improve the world while you do it. It'd be your good deed for the day.
If you or anyone you know would be interested in donating some your work and talent to improve the lives of underprivileged African school kids, please message me back. I would love to answer any questions you or they may have about the art sale, GVPA, or Schools For Schools.
